Job Overview

The Hybrid Electrical Maintenance Technician position is one of the core components for our maintenance force and requires a trained and experienced individual to contribute to our success as one of the maintenance team. The Hybrid Electrical Maintenance Technician performs maintenance functions necessary to maintain operating and service equipment using standard and specialized tools and mobile equipment such as forklifts as required.

 

As a Hybrid Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will help the maintenance team install, maintain, repair, and operate a broad range of systems and equipment in an industrial environment to maintain continuous operations.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair a broad range of mechanical systems and equipment including basic electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, lubrication, power transmission systems, conveyors.
  • Perform general metal fabrication skills if needed: welding, cutting and burning functions
  • Conduct general facilities maintenance.
  • Sharpen, maintain, and inspect blades for machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and precision by addressing wear or damage.
  • May be required to work at heights and/or in confined space.
  • May work alone with minimal supervision or with other maintenance technicians.
  • Perform duties in various areas of the plants adapting to varying environmental conditions (e.g., hot, cold, dirty, greasy, wet and noisy).
  • Perform other duties that may be assigned.

 

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2-year electrical maintenance/construction
  • Experience in industrial electronics, motors and controls, schematics and electrical power, print reading, computers and PLCs, AC/DC theory, electrical maintenance, and electrical safety, including understanding of code and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work overtime, including through lunch periods, and potential weekend shifts as required to support plant operations.
  • Adherence to safety protocols at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, and steel-toe boots.
  • Ability to work independently without supervision
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50 pounds
